Earthquake in Bangladesh

An earthquake is a natural disaster that shakes the ground. It happens when there is movement inside the Earth. Bangladesh is not a very high earthquake zone, but it still faces some risk. Many parts of the country have felt earthquakes in the past. When an earthquake happens, buildings can crack or fall down. People may feel afraid and run outside to stay safe. Sometimes roads break and electricity stops working.

In Bangladesh, cities like Dhaka and Chittagong are more at risk because there are many buildings and people. If buildings are not strong, they can be dangerous during an earthquake. That is why it is important to build strong houses and follow safety rules. People should know what to do during an earthquake. They should stay calm, take cover under a table, and move to an open place after the shaking stops.

The government and people should work together to reduce damage. Awareness and preparation can save lives. Earthquakes cannot be stopped, but we can stay safe by being careful and ready.
